Job Description The primary obligation of this Data Protection Officer will be to support Intel's compliance obligations arising out of data protection laws and regulations in the European Union including the EU General Data Protection Regulation GDPR, the e-Privacy Regulation, NIS Directive and other EU Member State laws as well as to support Intel's compliance mission, which is to advance a corporate culture of the highest ethical standard and ensure world-class compliance programs optimized for Intel's business activities.

This role will be responsible for ensuring internal compliance and promptly addressing areas of non-compliance. This position will be based in one of Intel's European offices Leixlip, report on substantive data protection matters to the EMEA General Counsel and will periodically update senior management, the Audit Committee, and, as appropriate, the Board of Directors.

Tasks:- Provide guidance relating to Intel's operations as necessary under data protection laws including GDPR, and Intel policies and guidelines with respect to data protection- Foster a privacy compliance culture within the organization and help to implement essential elements of the GDPR, such as the principles of data processing, data subjects' rights, data protection by design and by default- Provide input on data protection impact assessments DPIAs safeguards including technical and organizational measures to apply to mitigate risks - Maintain the record of processing operations and key repositories of personal data- Be the contact person for the designated supervisory and other data protection authorities- Act as the point person for inquiries from EU data subjects on issues relating to data practices and rights- Assist with the implementation, management and monitoring of the EMEA data protection compliance strategy and the creation and roll-out of policies, guidelines, and data protection awareness training- Escalate data protection risks and issues to executives, as needed- Manage Intel's existing global DPO network including identification of local requirements, onboarding and existing and ensuring appropriate resources and training - Offer consultation in relation to any information security events and- Attend regular/ongoing privacy training, seminars and conferences and obtain/maintain certifications

• The ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years of experience in a privacy / data protection role specifically in the area of advising on compliance with, and operational guidance under, Europe's data protection laws. Additional qualifications include:- Familiarity with requirements of EU data protection law- Familiarity with privacy and security risk assessment best practices- Experience with creating and implementing data protection policies, procedures, and training materials, and promoting a culture of data protection compliance across business functions- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure- Understanding of IT infrastructure, technology, and technical and organizational structure- Expertise in applying the principle of Privacy by Design, particularly in relation to the development of new technologies and business models- Ability to handle information and business confidentially, as appropriate- Superior oral and written communication skills- Demonstrated success in managing stakeholders and formulating successful strategies and delivering results, including influencing and working effectively at all levels of the company- Ability to function independently, and to also work well in an environment that requires collaboration- Experience with compliance audits and monitoring- CIPP/E - Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe or equivalent certifications- Ideally bi-lingual or multi-lingual ideally English in addition to French, German, Italian and/or Spanish
