Job Role and Responsibilities
This is a mixed role involved which includes the management of existing business as well as developing new contracts
Preparing tender documents and involved in tender analysis
Subcontractor interview and selection
Negotiate and agree project target costs and lump sum prices
Interim valuations and final accounts
Attend site progress and cost meetings and liaising with subcontractors
Taking contracts from procurement through to final accounts
Experienced in detailed final accounts
The Person
A cost-focused professional with knowledge of concrete and formworks
Educated to Degree Level or equivalent in Construction/Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Min of 3 years post graduate experience of Construction/ Engineering projects
Good commercial acumen with the ability to manage the QS function
A self-starter with the positive outlook which has become essential for success in the present challenging climate
